Martin Stuart - Author of Etiquette for the Average Joe
I wrote this book with several people in mind—good friends with bad manners. I don’t know if they ever had guidance in the field of proper etiquette, but considering they prefer their fingers over a fork and opt to chew with their mouth open, I decided to write a book.
I have since discovered that bad manners are about as common as a bad hair day, and the list goes way beyond my group of friends. I have witnessed work associates leaving the bathroom without washing their hands and then greeting others with a warm handshake. Ouch!!! The number of etiquette accidents I’ve seen just in the workplace only strengthened my desire to publish a book that could help not only the Average Joe, but everyone in Joe’s world.
This first volume is one-hundred chapters and one-hundred cartoons. I wanted to keep it simple so the chapters are one page and a cartoon to enhance the lesson at hand. If that’s not enough to meet your etiquette quota, there’s always Volume 2 with another one-hundred chapters, or you can surf my website for more tips. Enjoy the book, and if you have an etiquette question, feel free to visit me at www.etiquettefortheaveragejoe.com. There you will also find the new broadcast quality Martin Stuart webisodes that are both helpful and entertaining. I look forward to hearing from you. |
